I couldn't recommend this place enough, the surrounding area is astonishing and the pods are roomy and comfortable. The view from the pods is absolutely breathtaking, and the staff were friendly and helpful, making my stay truly outstanding.
The breakfast offerings could be improved with a wider variety of options.

Unlike other glamping pods, these ones had proper double beds, which was a huge plus for me. the attention to detail was fantastic, with amenities like cutlery, crockery, towels, and a dining area provided in each pod. I also loved the outdoor fire pit and chairs, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the stunning mountain views. the facilities, including the toilets, showers, and kitchen, were spotlessly clean. having access to the barn with seating and a wood-burning stove was a great bonus, especially when the weather wasn't ideal. a fabulous stay!
Was all great! 😊.

I enjoyed breathtaking views and a truly relaxing atmosphere throughout my stay. The property was impeccably clean, providing a peaceful and rejuvenating experience. The pods were cozy and warm, equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. It was delightful to interact with the free-range chickens on-site, adding a charming touch to the overall experience. The owners were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. The outdoor kitchen, toilet, and showroom were all spotless and had everything we needed.
While the lack of Wi-Fi and poor phone signal may pose a challenge for some, it actually enhanced our opportunity to disconnect and fully immerse ourselves in the tranquility of the surroundings. Additionally, the need to walk a short distance to access the facilities did not inconvenience us, as it added to the peaceful and distraction-free environment.

I recently stayed at a glamping site in Newcastle and had a fantastic experience. The owners were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. One moment that stood out was when I realized I had forgotten to bring something, and the owner actually went to his home to get me a spare one. This level of hospitality was truly exceptional. Additionally, the views from the site were breathtaking, and the shared facilities were always available to use due to the small number of pods. It was a peaceful and relaxing getaway, perfect for those looking for a break from distractions. I highly recommend this spot for a memorable glamping experience.

I had the most amazing stay at this glamping site. the location was breathtaking and the owners were incredibly welcoming and helpful. the pod I stayed in was spotless and had everything I needed. the facilities, including the kitchen, toilets, and showers, were clean and well maintained. the best part was watching my children have a blast playing with the chickens. It was our first time glamping and we definitely want to come back for a longer stay. Cons: Nothing, it was perfect! 👌.

The location of the glamping site offers breathtaking views of the mountains during the day and a mesmerizing starry sky at night. Guests have praised the fully equipped kitchen area and the exceptionally clean and modern toilets and showers. the pods themselves have been commended for their comfortable double beds and thoughtful amenities such as cutlery, crockery, towels, and outdoor seating.
Some guests mentioned that the pods can get warm at night and suggested having window and door nets to allow for better ventilation without the concern of insects entering.

Clean, quiet location, beautiful surroundings. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were well-maintained. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment, and the fire pit was a nice touch for roasting marshmallows. The privacy was also appreciated.
The pods were not spacious enough for a family of four, especially with teenage kids who were too tall for the beds. The lack of steps and lighting down to the pod made it dangerous during rainy nights.

Spectacular views, attentive staff, great atmosphere for a birthday weekend. Adventure walks, interacting with animals, and campfire fun. Only downside was the windy weather, unavoidable by the owners. Spectacular!

Our stay at Gorse Hill Glamping was worth every penny! The pod was just the right size for our family and had stunning views of the Mourne Mountains. The facilities were spotless and convenient, and even during the 95mph winds, the pod remained cozy and well-insulated. The beautiful open countryside and Tollymore Forest Park nearby were major highlights. The staff, particularly Neil, were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We especially appreciated the access to the barn with seating and a wood burning stove when the weather wasn't the best.
For breakfast options, it would be great to have a wider variety to choose from.

The view from our pod at Gorse Hill Glamping was beyond words. It was truly breathtaking and no photo could capture its beauty. The pod itself was spacious and cozy, perfect for our group of four adults. We loved the bench and fire pit outside, adding to the overall charm of the experience. The location was also ideal, nestled between Silent Valley, Tollymore, and Castlewellan. We enjoyed exploring the stunning surroundings and creating lasting memories. The wash areas were impeccably clean and the kitchen facilities were a great extra, with designated spaces to store our food. The welcome from the owner was warm and the on-site farm animals, including chickens and donkeys, added a delightful touch. The bed was comfortable, the showers had the perfect temperature, and the room heater kept us warm throughout our stay. I highly recommend Gorse Hill Glamping for a peaceful and remarkable getaway.
